Welcome to Calvary Baptist Church

We are a local church in existence since 1963 with one overarching purpose:

to glorify God by growing together in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We come from different backgrounds and walks of life but what unites us as a church family is THE GOSPEL: the good news of what God has done for us in His Son, Jesus Christ.

This is what now fills our lives with much praise, joy and passion

toward the one true and living God of the universe.
We also love our community and long to see more of our neighbors come to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are convinced that God can use an ordinary church that faithfully proclaims an extraordinary Savior to offer enduring hope to our community in Goderich and throughout Huron County.
Whether looking for a church family or simply visiting, you’re invited to join us anytime.

We look forward to meeting you!

Worship Service—What to Expect

Every Sunday morning at 10am, we gather at 231 Bayfield Road in Goderich to worship God together through music, singing, Scripture reading, praying, the preaching of the Bible, and expressing our unity in Christ by celebrating baptisms and the Lord’s Supper. Before and after the service, we enjoy a time of fellowship in the foyer of our church building (temporarily on hold due to COVID-19).This gives us the opportunity to interact with each other over a cup of coffee and some goodies.

What are your Doctrinal Beliefs?

As a local church affiliated to The Fellowship, we adhere to the following Affirmation of Faith: https://www.fellowship.ca/WhatWeBelieve

How long is the Sunday service?

Our worship service typically lasts between 60-80 minutes.

What should I wear?

At Calvary Baptist we do not require a specific dress code to attend our Sunday services. We encourage you to wear what you feel comfortable wearing—bearing in mind that God is glorified in our modesty.

What ministries are available for children on Sundays?

For ages 0-36 months, we provide a nursery facility equipped with a live-stream of our worship service (currently on hold due to COVID-19 although the nursery classroom is open on a ‘first come, first served’ basis for one family).

For children ages 3-12, we have an age-specific time of teaching led by our wonderful group of volunteers who are committed to helping our young ones meet Jesus in the pages of the Bible (currently on hold due to COVID-19).
