Marks of a Healthy Church

Churches come in all shapes and sizes. Some are located in urban areas while others (like ours) are found in rural communities. Some have a more ‘traditional’ style of worship while others prefer a ‘contemporary’ style. Some have plenty of programs to offer while others have little. But what exactly do healthy churches have in common? What are the basic building blocks Jesus requires from every healthy congregation?

The church wasn't our idea—it was His. Jesus established the church as the natural arena for the Christian life, and our health depends on it.

Starting on Sunday, February 11, we will explore how Jesus has designed the church to grow and live together. We will do this by looking at several marks that set apart a healthy church governed by the Scriptures. In addition, we will have the opportunity to discuss each of the marks in detail during our Growth Group gatherings.
